About Me
My name is Sean Eddy and this is my place to talk, complain, rant, and spend countless hours on my days off. I have been working in EMS for 7 years now with the last 4 as a paramedic. I live and work in Southern California and someday hope to get the hell out of here!
I currently work full time as a paramedic supervisor for a private ambulance service. On my days off I enjoy playing music, working out, shooting and just having a good time. I have a beautiful daughter and hopefully more children to come in the near future!
I created this blog because I love to write and I enjoy interacting with people from around the globe. I also enjoy the occasional debate. I am a very opinionated and open person. I welcome all compliments, suggestions, arguments and hate mail.
A little more about my background:
Before working in EMS, I worked in politics and with computers. I started my EMS career working for a “mom and pop” ambulance service in Central California. I worked there as an EMT-Basic for 2 years. We provided exclusive ALS 911 coverage for several rural communities. I was a very interesting start to my career to say the least. I learned a lot about EMS and what it’s like to have to improvise when you don’t have the resources of working in a metropolitan area.
After I turned 21, I started a new job working for a much larger ambulance service in Southern California which covers a variety of metropolitan and rural communities. 3 months after I started work there, I was accepted into paramedic
school. After paramedic school, I worked in the field for a couple years before being promoted to Field Supervisor.
Shortly after my promotion, I decided to take my experiences and write about them. I started this blog about a year later and continue to try and provide interesting, funny and hopefully informative material for everyone to read.
Disclaimer:
On several occasions, I make references to “calls” or “scenarios”. Some of these stories include facts from several different calls that I have actually run, however most are made up. I do not reveal personal information regarding any patients that I come in contact with. Pertinent details that could possibly lead to the identity of the patients or their scenario are significantly changed.
My blog is here for entertainment and learning purposes only.
